After playing the Portland wedding (see last post) we hit the train to Seattle where I got to play at the legendary Little Red Hen! It was amazing to see the local family and friends who came out and made it such a special night! Special thanks to @casey.freedom.music for booking me and backing me up on lead guitar, along with the rest of the super talented house band 🎸🥁🎤🎶

It was such an honor playing my bestie’s wedding in Portland, including her pre-wedding Halloween party! You get a lot of attention traveling on planes and buses with a Captain America shield lemme tell you 🤣 . Lots of comments and shouts, but the craziest was when a guy ran at me in the street pretending to battle me during a midnight stroll back to our hotel, and Nixie and I totally thought we were getting mugged for a sec haha I’ve NEVER arranged a classical piece but my buddy wanted to walk down the isle to an instrumental version of one of her fave romance songs so I rose to the challenge. I created a beautiful arrangement but it was def outside of my comfort zone and skill level. So I practiced everyday for 2 weeks! Then super nervous but focused I did indeed pull it off!! 😃 Phew didn’t ruin a wedding 😅 You can hear my arrangement of Steven Sanchez’s “Until I Found You” in the 2nd to last slide. It was a gorgeous wedding and I love @ellenfether to death and her completely awesome new husband @jontonfookes 💙💙💙💙

Last night in Grover Beach! I’ve played at countless venues in countless towns and I can say the community of @apogeebrewingco is truly something special! Big open hearts all around. Thanks for an amazing time! Thanks for seeing Tennessee Whiskey with me @paddymarshmusic !!
