Exploring Heartache, Healing & Peace Through Music

In our deepest pain we grow…

In our deepest pain we grow the most and in darkness light is most potent. I make music to guide people back to the light because that’s what music has always done for me.

I battle depression and struggled a lot when I was younger. I disconnected from my emotions when they became too difficult to bare, which I later found out was the definition of depression. Music was there for me and gave me an outlet to process what I was going through. Listening to artists who dared to sing honestly about their pain showed me I wasn’t alone.

You have to reach down into the darkness to pull yourself out, and I think music has a profound way of doing that. By expressing our struggles through music, or any type of art, we make them beautiful. In doing so, we honor them. Only when we honor and sit with our emotions can we truly process and move through them.

The same thing happens when we listen to music. When we hear a song that captures just what we’re going through, it’s incredibly validating and therapeutic. We play it on repeat!

When people say they find healing in my music, that’s when I know I’ve done my job to convey my experience authentically. I feel honored to be able to give back to the world using the tool that has helped me so much.

I’m grateful for songwriting and to get to serve others through it. Thank you to anyone who resonates with what I make. Life is full of deep joy, sadness, anger and all the emotions. It’s all part of being alive. Rather than shy away when it gets tough, we can face these parts of ourselves fearlessly and I believe music is here to help us do that.
